Rebecca "Newt" Jorden is played by Carrie Henn in the movie Aliens.
Biography[]
Aliens[]
She was a member of the colony and only she survived the invasion of the aliens following their invasion at the colony on LV-426. She managed to do that by hiding near the ventilators.
The United States Colonial Marine Corps unit, which was dispatched to the planet in 2179, discovers her hiding in the colony's ventilation system in bad shape and traumatised. She then goes with the Marines and, in time, she subsequently becomes close to the advisor, Ellen Ripley, who later risks her own life to rescue Newt from the Xenomorph nest, when she was taken away by one of the aliens.
Newt is one of four people to survive the infestation on LV-426 after the defeat of the aliens and their queen, along with Ripley, Corporal Hicks and the android Bishop, who was badly damaged.
Special Edition of Aliens[]
- It is shown, that Newt is living with her parents and has a brother.
- Newt is present, when the ship carrying the embryos were discovered. Her parents discovered it, acting on orders of the company and her father is the first one to be infected.
- She becomes close to Ripley, because Ripley lost her daughter and she lost her parents and her brother.
Alien 3[]
She is later killed, when the ship carrying her crashes on Fiona Fury. She was buried, together with Hicks, there.
