Hey, I gave the film infobox an update, it hasn't changed much but has some new things. I also made it at some categories to the page on it's own, the distributor, the language and the rating. Now you only have to add the rating in the infobox, and it'll update the rating category on it's own.
That's awesome! Thanks! One problem I've been running into on the Template:MainPage/UpcomingFilms is that the movie posters aren't the same size. Like 78px brings them to roughly the same size, but they are all slightly off of each other. Do you know of a fix to this?
Hmm.. I don't think I can fix it with a code, it's only possible to make the width the same (like you say all are 78px). The only thing I can suggest is find a film poster that's around the same size as the others.
Hey! I was randomly scrolling around the wiki and I noticed that there is a duplicate page for "Esther" (the main character in the movie Orphan). One page is named "Esther" while the other is "Leena Klammer", her revealed identity in the film. Should one of the pages be deleted?
Hey, I was scanning through some articles and one of our users asked the question why we had articles related to Godzilla, considering they're not really horror. I've never realised that before, but now I think about it, I think it's true. What do you think, keep or delete?
It's not a relevant article on the wiki. This wiki is for articles on film, cast, and individual characters only. However, this would make an interesting blog here on the wiki. Feel free to start a discussion in that format and allow users to debate or discuss these similarities.
I don't think so. If this wiki is going to be about films, then we don't need it. However if we want to branch out to include all horror then I guess it would be acceptable. You're the head admin on here, so the decision is primarily yours. I'll support whatever you decide.
When I was the sole admin, we had a spot on the main page called "Message from the Admins" (or something to that effect) It might be a good idea to reinstate that section so that we can keep our users up-to-date with the changes we make.
Also I think we should create a Manual of Style with example pages to show our users what editing style we want the wiki to conform to.
About the gothic theme contest, I thought we could compete in it, but not make that many changes just a few. I read the blog again and saw a few of the competing wiki's, but many of them didn't really change things (or aren't gothic at all). Since we already have some kind of horror theme, we might make a chance by just being ourselves.
Hello, I recently adopted this wiki and I am currently cleaning up the wiki. In the past you have been promoted to admin and at that time you’ve fulfilled your duty. Since I am cleaning up the wiki and I want to make it better, I also want an admin team that is active. You haven’t edited since 10 August 2013 and I am asking you if you want to help on this wiki again. If you aren’t interested, I’m asking you to remove your admin rights yourself, otherwise I’ll ask the staff to remove them. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I understand I have been inactive for a long time. Part of my original statement when I controlled the wiki was that I can only edit sporadically due to school and life. If you are interested, I can still be on your team of admins. I was desperately looking for help while I had to be away. Have you managed to clean the wiki up completely? Thanks!
Hey, thank you for your response. I would like to still have you on the team, since you've been a good admin in the past. I hope you'll be able to help out over here again, that would be great. I'm currently still working on cleaning up the wiki, it's a lot of work and I don't always have that much time, but we're getting there.
That's great, thank you. At the time there isn't anything specific, right now I'm marking the pages that are done, need some work or are just generally bad. I hope you understand everything I've done so far, maybe my userpage can help a bit too. Oh, and suggestions are more than welcome!
