The Torn Prince is the ghost of Royce Clayton, and the fifth ghost in the Black Zodiac.

Royce was born in 1940, and was a gifted baseball player in high school, despite his attitude problems and superiority complex.

When Royce was 17, a greaser called Johnny challenged him to a drag race, but a cut brake line caused Royce's car to spin out of control and flip over, dragging him under and killing him.

His body was buried in the plot of earth overlooking the baseball diamond.

After DeathEdit

Following his death, Royce's earth-bound spirit was captured by Cyrus to become the Torn Prince.

The Torn Prince was then moved to the basement of the house.

Dennis and Moss encountered the Torn Prince in his containment cube in the basement, with the Torn Prince terrifying Dennis.

Later, when the walls of the house shifted, Dennis became trapped with the Torn Prince in his containment cube, until, with Maggie's assistance, he dodged the Prince's attacks and escaped the containment cube through a closing opening.

When Arthur and Dennis tried to get through the house to the basement, the Torn Prince was the eleventh ghost to be released. He viciously attacked the two, but they used a detached wall as a shield against his attacks. However, when the Torn Prince didn't give up, the two used the pane to ram the ghost into another wall, defeating him.

Shortly after, a Latin chant caused the Torn Prince, along with the other 11 ghosts, to go to the centre of the machine and power it up.

When the Torn Prince and the other ghosts were freed from Cyrus's trance, they threw Cyrus into a rotating crest of rings.

When the house exploded, destroying its walls, all twelve ghosts escaped the house and into the woods.

  • In his containment cube, the overturned car which killed Royce can be seen behind him.
