The Withered Lover is the ghost of Jean Kriticos, and the fourth ghost in the Black Zodiac.

Jean was the loving wife of Arthur Kriticos, and mother of Bobby and Kathy Kriticos. Jean loved her family deeply, but met an undeserved demise when she was horribly burnt saving her family from a fire, and died in hospital.

After DeathEdit

Following her death, Jean's earth-bound spirit was captured by Cyrus to become the Withered Lover.

The Withered Lover was then moved to the basement of the house.

The Withered Lover was the third ghost to be released. Right after her release, the Withered Lover tried, failedly, to warn Bobby not to follow the Bound Woman into the basement.

Later, the Withered Lover communicated with Bobby through his toy microphone, instructing him to put on his spectral viewers to see her, and begging him to return upstairs. However, Bobby was attacked and abducted by Cyrus.

Later, a Latin chant caused the Withered Lover, along with the other 11 ghosts, to go to the centre of the machine and power it up. However, the Withered Lover was able to linger long enough to visit her husband.

When the Withered Lover and the other ghosts were freed from Cyrus's trance, she was the only one who didn't participate in the ghosts' vengeance on Cyrus from trapping them.

When the house exploded, destroying its walls, a peaceful-looking Jean visited her family one last time.
