Zach Gilford is an american actor best known in the horror community for his roles in Devil's Due and The Purge: Anarchy.

Early LifeEdit

Gilford attended Evanston Township High School before graduating from Northwestern University. During his college life, he served as a Trip Leader Adventures Cross-Country and led teenagers on adventures across California, Hawaii, Alaska, the South Pacific, and British Columbia. He also worked as a staff member at the YMCA Camp Echo in Fremont, Michigan.

CareerEdit

Zach Gilford started his acting career in 2005 with an appearance in the long-running television show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2006, he landed the role of Matt Saracen in the television series Friday Night Lights. He also made his film debut in 2006 with a leading role in The Last Winter

In 2010, Gilford joined the main cast of the ABC medical drama Off the Map, which was cancelled after one season. During this time, he also appeared in Taylor Swift's music video for her song "Ours," in which he played Taylor's love interest. In 2012, he landed a role in a FOX medical drama called The Mob Doctor. This series was however, also cancelled after only one season. 

In 2014, he co-starred in the horror film Devil's Due. Later that year, he also starred in The Purge: Anarchy, where he played the role of Shane.
